A Day Behind the Wheel of a Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo at Spa-Francorchamps with Club 47

The thrill of driving a Ferrari is a dream shared by many, but to do so on one of the world’s most prestigious tracks, Spa-Francorchamps, is an experience few can claim. Thanks to Club 47, this dream became a reality for me in the form of a day behind the wheel of the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo.

The Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, with its advanced aerodynamics and enhanced handling capabilities, is designed for the racetrack. With a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 670 horsepower and a lightweight frame, the car is built to provide an unmatched driving experience. The day began with an informative briefing, led by experts from Club 47, who introduced us to the car’s features and how to get the best performance out of it on a circuit like Spa. They also gave us a detailed overview of the track’s unique layout, from the famous Eau Rouge to the fast and flowing Blanchimont. Spa is notorious for its ever-changing weather, and we were advised to stay alert and prepared for anything.

After the briefing, it was time to take the 488 Evo to the track. The car roared to life as I slid into the cockpit, the Ferrari’s cockpit hugging my body like a second skin. The feeling of being so close to the engineering marvel that is the 488 Challenge Evo was electric. With its racing pedigree, the car felt eager to be pushed to its limits.
